Hawaiian Beeswax Pillar Candles
The Beeswax is collected from our own bees on the Big Island of Hawaii and is 100% pure and free of other waxes or oils. I lightly filter the beeswax to remove large debris while maintaining the gorgeous, natural color and aroma. I never add chemicals, fragrances, or dyes to beeswax.
Wicking:
The wicking use for pillar candles is 100% cotton square braided wick, which is designed specifically for beeswax and does not have a toxic zinc core. The wicks are never chemically treated
Benefits:
Burning Beeswax is known for its air-purifying qualities. When burned, beeswax emits negative ions that attach to dust and pollutants in the air, preventing them from floating around. Beeswax is perfect for those that have fragrance sensitivities and allergies. Instead of polluting the air beeswax cleans it!
Burning:
Pillar candles may seem daunting at first, but really they are quite simple to burn. Remember when purchasing pillar candles that they are designed to be long-burning candles, and should be lit for 3-4 hours at a time.
«Trim the wick to 1/4” before you light your candle the first time and every time. If you are burning your candle for an extended period of time and the flame is too tall or starting to flicker, you may need to blow it out, trim the wick, and relight your candle.
«Establish a wax pool the first time you burn your candle, otherwise known as a memory ring, by burning your candle for roughly 1 hour per inch in diameter. (3”x4” candle = 3 hours initial burn time.) This wax pool is a guideline for how far your candle will burn each time.
«Keep the wax pool free of debris such as trimmed wicks.
«Discard or re purpose remaining wax once your candle has 1” or less of wax under the wax pool.
«Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
